Photogrammetry Services in Cameroon
Photogrammetry turns overlapping aerial photographs into accurate, measurable maps and 3D models. MKA Mesh Systems uses drone photogrammetry to deliver high-resolution orthomosaics, point clouds and 3D reconstructions across Cameroon and Africa — a fast, cost-effective way to map land, sites and structures.
01What is photogrammetry?
Photogrammetry is the science of taking measurements from photographs. By capturing hundreds of overlapping images from a drone and processing them with specialist software, we reconstruct the site in 3D and produce geo-referenced maps where every pixel has a real-world coordinate.
02How MKA Mesh Systems delivers
- Flight planning — calculated overlap, altitude and ground sampling distance (GSD) for your accuracy target.
- Ground control — GNSS-surveyed control points or RTK/PPK for verified accuracy.
- Processing — Pix4D and Agisoft Metashape generate orthomosaics, point clouds and meshes.
- QA — accuracy checked against independent checkpoints and reported.
03Deliverables
- High-resolution orthomosaics (geo-referenced base maps)
- Dense point clouds (LAS/LAZ)
- Digital surface and terrain models (DSM/DTM)
- 3D textured meshes and models
- Contours, volumes and measurements
04Applications & industries
Topographic mapping, construction progress, mining volumes, agriculture, real estate, urban planning, heritage and inspection. Photogrammetry is ideal for open sites where you also need true-colour imagery.
05Photogrammetry vs LiDAR
Photogrammetry delivers rich colour imagery and excellent surface detail on open ground at lower cost. LiDAR is the better choice for heavily vegetated sites or capturing thin features. We advise the right method — or both — for your project.
06Frequently asked questions
How accurate is drone photogrammetry? With proper ground control, 2–5 cm accuracy is typical for well-planned surveys.
What is an orthomosaic? An orthomosaic is a single, distortion-corrected, geo-referenced image of your whole site, stitched from many photos — you can measure distances and areas directly on it.
How large an area can you map? From small plots to hundreds of hectares; large sites are flown in multiple flights and merged.
