Aerial Mapping & Orthomosaics in Cameroon
An orthomosaic is a single, high-resolution, distortion-corrected aerial map of your whole site that you can measure directly. MKA Mesh Systems delivers geo-referenced aerial mapping across Cameroon and Africa — current, detailed base maps for planning, monitoring, GIS and decision-making.
01What is aerial mapping?
Aerial mapping uses drones to photograph an area from above with high overlap, then stitches and geo-references the images into one seamless map. Unlike a normal photo, an orthomosaic is corrected for lens distortion and terrain, so every point sits in its true position.
02How MKA Mesh Systems delivers
- Mission planning — coverage, resolution (GSD) and overlap tuned to your needs.
- Ground control — for accurate geo-referencing.
- Processing — orthomosaic, DSM and point cloud generation.
- Delivery — GeoTIFF, tiled maps or web map access.
03Deliverables
- High-resolution orthomosaics (GeoTIFF)
- Digital surface models (DSM)
- Tiled / web-ready maps for online viewing
- Measurable maps for area, distance and counts
- Time-series maps for change monitoring
04Applications & industries
Urban and land-use planning, construction and project monitoring, agriculture, mining, real estate, disaster and environmental assessment, and any project needing a current, accurate map of a large area.
05Why drone maps beat outdated satellite imagery
Free satellite imagery is often years old and low resolution. A drone orthomosaic is captured on demand at centimetre resolution — so you see the site as it is today, in detail you can actually measure.
06Frequently asked questions
How detailed are your maps? Typically 1–5 cm per pixel — far sharper than satellite imagery.
Can you map large areas? Yes — from a few hectares to thousands, flown in multiple missions and merged.
Can I view the map online? Yes — we can deliver web-hosted, shareable maps for your team.
