Privacy Policy

How we collect, use, protect and retain your data — in plain language, under Cameroon and international data-protection law.

MKA Mesh Systems Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting the personal data of our clients, partners and website visitors. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, how we protect it, and what your rights are.

Our processing is governed by the laws of the Republic of Cameroon, including Law No. 2010/012 of 21 December 2010 on cybersecurity and cybercriminality, and the provisions of Decree No. 2012/1638/PM on electronic communications. Where we serve clients in the European Union or United Kingdom, we also observe the principles of the EU GDPR and UK GDPR.

02What Data We Collect

Information you give us directly

  • Identity data: your name, job title, company or organisation name.
  • Contact data: email address, telephone number, postal address.
  • Project data: site location and GPS coordinates, area size, type of survey required, timeline, and any technical briefs or site plans you share.
  • Financial data: invoicing address and payment references. We do not store card or banking details — payments run through secure third-party providers.
  • Communications: records of correspondence relating to your project.

Data collected automatically

  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring URL, pages visited.
  • Cookie data: session identifiers and functional preferences — see our Cookie Policy.

Survey data (not personal data)

Point clouds, orthomosaics, LiDAR scans and geospatial deliverables are professional outputs produced under contract. They relate to land features and infrastructure, not identifiable persons, and fall outside personal-data law. Where a survey may incidentally capture images of individuals, we apply data minimisation and delete incidental imagery not required as a deliverable.

04Who We Share Data With

  • IT & hosting: our site is hosted by SiteGround under GDPR-compliant processing agreements.
  • Payment processors: only the minimum data needed to process a transaction.
  • Sub-contractors / field crew: project-specific information only, under confidentiality obligations.
  • Professional advisers: legal, financial or insurance advisers under confidentiality.
  • Regulatory authorities: ANAC Cameroun and competent authorities where legally required.

We do not transfer personal data outside Cameroon except where a client is based abroad and the transfer is needed to deliver the service, or where our tools operate under adequate safeguards (e.g. EU Standard Contractual Clauses).

06How We Protect Your Data

  • Encrypted transmission between your browser and our site (HTTPS / TLS).
  • Password-protected systems, access limited to authorised personnel.
  • Physical security of devices and field equipment holding project data.
  • Regular security reviews of our infrastructure.
  • Secure deletion of data no longer required.

In the unlikely event of a breach affecting your rights, we will notify you and the relevant authority without undue delay.

07Your Rights

  • Access a copy of the data we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Erase data we no longer have a lawful reason to hold.
  • Restrict or object to certain processing.
  • Data portability in a structured, common format.
  • Withdraw consent at any time where processing is consent-based.
